We’re on the move again. From 8 June 2020
Forget the home office – Lake Zurich is waiting to welcome you!
On Montag, 8 June 2020 the Lake Zurich Navigation Company (ZSG) is launching its belated summer season, in accordance with Switzerland’s public transport protection plan relating to COVID-19. We look forward to welcoming passengers back again on board our shipping fleet. In order to maintain social distancing and prevent ticket area crowding, please purchase your tickets before boarding or buy contactless after boarding.
Up until 30 September only one timetable will be in operation. Therefore, in July and August the following services are cancelled:
- Long lake round trip: Mondays to Fridays, services 101 and 102; daily services 107 and 108
- Short lake round trip: daily services 71 and 74
- Mini lake round trip: daily services 3037, 3040 and 3043
- River Limmat round trip: daily services 1015, 1016, 1017, 1018 and 1019
In accordance with current guidelines, we are permitted to operate boats carrying only 50% of our full passenger capacity. We therefore thank you for your understanding. This measure does not apply to the shuttle services Thalwil - Erlenbach - Küsnacht and Wädenswil - Männedorf - Stäfa.
Protection measures on board
In the boarding areas on our boats, adhesive white floor tapes indicate the minimum distance to be observed. We strongly recommend that you wear a protective mask, in particular when the minimum distance of 2 metres cannot be maintained. ZSG personnel in direct contact with our clients are also equipped with hygiene masks. All our boats are cleaned and disinfected regularly.
On all long lake, upper lake and lake round trips departing from Rapperswil, passengers are offered a take-away service in 2nd class and table service in 1st class. The short lake round trip departing Zürich Bürkliplatz offers full service catering. The mini lake round trip provides a limited take-away service. Disinfectant sprays are to be found in all our on-board restaurants. The distance between tables complies with the protection plan requirements of GastroSuisse and the Swiss Hotel Association. We request passengers to reserve tables in advance.
Following the Swiss government's relaxation of measures to combat the spread of the Coronavirus, the boat traffic on Lake Zurich is operating as follows:
- The interconnecting route Wädenswil - Männedorf - Stäfa is operating according to regular schedule.
- The interconnecting route Thalwil - Erlenbach - Küsnacht will be running again from Monday, 11 May with a special timetable (see below).
Please note that these journeys are for public transport only and should not be used as excursion tours. No bike transportation.
